Mattress Firm Dream Bed vs. Loona Mattress: Which Mattress Will You Invest In?

Looking for Dream Bed alternatives? Or doing a bed-in-a-box comparison? Just remember that not all beds are created the same. Some are engineered to give you the support you need, while others try only to feel great, hoping you won’t return them until it’s too late.

Mattress Firm Dream Bed vs. Loona Mattress: The Dream and the Reality

Here’s the thing: Sleep plays a critical role in good health and well-being throughout your life. So you’ll want a mattress that actually delivers sleep, not just “luxury.”  We’re here to help you with that decision. Let's compare:

Dream Bed Mattress

Dream Bed is Mattress Firm’s entry into the bed-in-a-box market (manufactured by Lux Living). The mattress is over 10” thick and designed to be very soft and cool. The company has obviously spent some coin on the marketing of the bed, hoping to be as hip as other upstart bed-in-a-box brands.

Loona Mattress

Loona is a bed in a box created by Banner Mattress (no middleman), made with today’s consumer in mind. Balancing four different layers, this 10” mattress balances the cooling properties of Phase Change Materials with the responsive support of foam, so you can sleep, work, and play harder. It is a result of the design rooms at Banner Mattress, which has manufactured and sold factory-direct mattresses to consumers for over 90 years.

The Reviews Say...

The reviews agree that, while soft and somewhat cool, the Dream Bed is lacking in support. Many online reviewers state that the mattress starts comfortable, but it becomes apparent with time that it will not hold up. The bed sinks A LOT, and like most memory foam it does not breathe well and eventually, retains heat.

The Loona, by contrast, is a bit firmer. The thicker gel foam layer and advanced technology in the Phase Change Materials help to dissipate heat better, which makes it ideal for people who sleep hot. Loona was designed to give you the cooling benefits needed to help you sleep comfortably without sacrificing the support your body needs.

Choose the Right Mattress for You and Your Partner

In short, the Dream Bed partially holds up to its name: It’s like sleeping on a cloud. While this may be good for light sleepers, it has way too much sink for most.

Those who desire a deep, rejuvenating sleep – anytime they need it – can count on Loona. If you have issues with your back or shoulders, Loona can give you that extra support to rest comfortably.
